Many people are intimidated by yoga out of fear that they are not flexible. If this is you – fear not – the practice itself will help you feel more relaxed and comfortable in your body. Our instructors at the Steel Shop in St. Charles offer a wide range of movements, so you can opt in or out depending on your comfort level. Please notify the teacher of any injuries before class. Physical adjustments are given to help deepen each student’s practice. If you do not want physical adjustments, please inform the instructor.

Yoga: Slow Flow
Slow Flow is an opportunity to explore the calmer, more restful side of your yoga practice. In this class, students will practice about half the number of poses as a typical flow class. The pace is meditative, with an emphasis on calm in the body and mind. We hold poses longer, taking several rounds of breath in each pose, rather than moving quickly between poses. It's the perfect way to set a the vibe for the week ahead.

Yoga: Full Moon Flow
During this class in the Power Plant courtyard, we use the energy of the full moon to enhance our connection to the lunar cycle, release tension, and restore ourselves - leaving us feeling grounded, rejuvenated, and fulfilled.
The full moon is a time of abundance of acquired goodness, heightened energy, receptivity, and strength, but it can also manifest in the overflow of emotions, bringing with them physical and emotional tension. We will focus on a grounding meditation, various pranayama (breath) exercises, and of course, our Moon Salutations..
