After you have become proficient at top rope belaying, this class will advance your skills. Lead climbing allows you to climb on all of our walls and gives you a more realistic climbing experience. Our knowledgeable instructors will help you untie from the top rope and tie into the sharp end in a controlled environment.

You will learn how to lead climb and lead belay. You will also learn how to utilize scenario-based belay techniques to provide the climber with a soft catch in the event of a fall.

This class is perfect for new climbers who want to use every area of the gym. After completing the class, you will know how to top rope belay, operate the gym’s auto-belay stations, and climb on the bouldering wall. Yoga for Athletes

Yoga for Athletes is a mixed-level Vinyasa yoga class with special modifications given to address climber- and athlete-specific stretches and movements (forearms, shoulders, core, etc). Expect to work with alignment details, creative transitions, and a full-spectrum of postures while exploring form within the poses and breath.

Climb So iLL's instructors give a wide range of modifications to movements and stretches depending on each student's individual needs. All yoga classes are suitable for all levels of experience, ability and flexibility.

Thursday 10/13

Yoga: Yin

Yin yoga is a slow and gentle style of yoga with an emphasis on the connective tissue (ligaments, tendons and deep fascia) of the body. Poses are held between 2-5 minutes on average with a focus on stillness. These poses are either sitting or lying down in a passive manner, letting gravity play a role in developing a deeper stretch and allowing one to hold poses for a longer length of time. Stillness of the mind and breath awareness are also key elements of this practice.

Bouldering Skills

After completing our Bouldering Skills class, you will have the skills needed to begin a regular bouldering routine. You will learn how to properly fall onto a padded floor, warm up for and structure a proper bouldering session, and identify and practice skills. You will also learn about bouldering terminology and proper etiquette. We will help you overcome the social barriers to climbing and understand how climbers work together while bouldering.

Bouldering relies on padded flooring rather than ropes and harnesses for protection. Climbers generally only climb between 10 and 15 feet high. For that reason, no additional equipment other than the padded floor is needed. This class is ideal for climbers who are new to the sport and want to establish a dependable foundation of skills.

Monday 10/17

Yoga: Slow Flow

Slow Flow is an opprotunity to explore the calmer, more restful side of your yoga practice. In this class, students will practice about half the number of poses as a typical flow class. The pace is meditative, with an emphasis on calm in the body and mind. We hold poses longer, taking several rounds of breath in each pose, rather than moving quickly between poses. It's the perfect way to set a the vibe for the week ahead.
